I put together a demo of what my synthesizer is capable of and posted it over at Youtube. It’s been a hell of a ride so far. Many hours and quite a bit of money went into making it. I could certainly have bought an older used monosynth like a Juno for example and had a much more robust system. However, I wouldn’t have learned as much as I have about audio synthesis, PCB design, electronics and general design/building. For now I’m putting all building on hold, but I do hope to add LFOs, audio -> gate (so that other instruments can use it as an effect), analog oscillators, MIDI to CV… oh god, it’s never going to end… Enjoy the video!
P.S. I’m still trying to figure out a name for it. In sticking with the acronym bending theme, I thought to use the initials M.S. (from Modular Synthesizer)… but my first idea: (M)y (S)truggle, while incredibly apt, seemed in very poor taste… Back to the drawing board.
